This dress is a great casual option that is a bit more put together looking than the basic maxi.
Fit Advise: Let me start by saying that I personally don't like wearing long dresses so this may hold a bit of bias. I typically wear a 1X or 2X for dresses. I tried the 1X and it fit ok. The waist is at your natural waist line, which I don't actually have. I ended up sizing up to the 2X to make the proportions fit better on my apple proportions. In the 1X the side seams almost appeared to be in the center of my legs (aka pulled a bit too tight). For length, it hit my 5'3" frame as a maxi, ankle length. The open wrap section only came about mid calf. But warning, it is an attached wrap so be careful how you sit so you don't end up showing all the goods.
